Formula 1 is about to start: It's finally a RACEWEEK!
- GPblog.com
IT'S RACE WEEK AGAIN! As Formula 1 fans we had to wait a long time for it, but finally we can say again that we are at the start of a race week and that always makes a Monday just a little bit better.
The 2019 Formula 1 season ended with a race on 1 December in Abu Dhabi. Formula 1 then went with a long break to start again in Australia after a winter test in Barcelona. On 15 March we would see another race, but now more than three months later we still have to wait for that.
Race week in Austria
Formula 1 did not start in Melbourne, but was cancelled just before the first free practice because of the coronavirus. A disappointment for all present, but in hindsight it could not have been raced either. Now that we are months further, rules have finally been set up to be able to race again.
During the Austrian Grand Prix this week we don't see a mass of Orange fans and we do see people with mouth caps. All this to prevent infection of the virus. So it will take some getting used to, but with all this we can finally enjoy another race week.
