Red Bull officially objects to DAS system
- GPblog.com
It was already in the air, but now it's official. Red Bull Racing has made a protest against Mercedes for the DAS system. In Barcelona there were already doubts about the system and now Red Bull wants clarity about the legality of the new innovation of the German team as soon as possible. Christian Horner indicated earlier today that they will probably go for a protest.
With this protest the team hopes that there will now be definitive clarity. Before 2021 the system is already banned, but in 2020 Mercedes will still be allowed to use the system. However, Red Bull has doubts about the legality, so now they really protest. F1 journalist Albert Fabrega says it is about the technical rules, around articles 3.8, 10.2 and 10.3.
