Alexander Albon still has enough confidence in a good result for Red Bull Racing at the start of the season in Austria. According to the Red Bull driver it is known what needs to be worked on in the third free practice session and he also suggests that Honda hasn't shown everything yet in the first two sessions of the weekend.

"We know what we want to work on," Albon is quoted by Motorsport-Magazin. After three hours in the RB16 the British Thai has a clear picture of progress to be made. "We know which areas of the car we want to look at, both short and long runs."

During the second free practice the 24-year-old driver had a small moment. He spun, but was able to continue on his way without any problems. Albon doesn't see the spin as a driveability problem for the Red Bull car. "I was just pushing a little", says Albon, who is not worried after Mercedes was superior on the first day: "Everyone drove with different engine settings. We'll see tomorrow."

Marko hopes for high temperatures

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko hopes that this weekend will be een warmer, making it easier for Red Bull to catch up with Mercedes. The formation of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas is still suffering from cooling problems. "It has to get warmer, that has been the crux of the matter for Mercedes in recent years. With more temperature they had to open up their bodywork and sacrifice performance. This is a glimmer of hope we have", said the man from Graz at RTL. There he said earlier that it will be very difficult to beat Mercedes this weekend.
