Red Bull saw opportunities: "That could have worked out well for Verstappen"
Christian Horner is very disappointed by the fact that Max Verstappen dropped out of the Austrian Grand Prix with an electrical problem. According to the team boss of Red Bull Racing, there was a very nice result for the Dutchman on the Red Bull Ring.
The Mercedes were very fast in the first part of the race at Spielberg, but also Red Bull saw that there were chances for the Austrian team in the second part of the race.
"Mercedes was fast in the first stint, but then they reduced the engine power. We were on the same level then. Max's other strategy could have worked out really well," Horner said disappointedly to Sky Sports.
Red Bull preys on revenge
The British boss agrees that the RB16 is not yet fast enough. "We still need to find some speed. We've got work to do. We want to do better next week." Red Bull hates Sunday's two DNFs: "That's very unfortunate, especially with such a short season as this year. We have zero points, while we could fight for victory..."
