Red Bull Racing fastest on all tyres on Friday in Austria
Last week it was Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton who dominated the timesheet during the race weekend in Austria. This Friday, things changed. It was Racing Point and Red Bull Racing's turn to shine on the Red Bull Ring.
Racing Point already proved during morning practice that their car is very good here when Sergio Perez set the fastest time. Last week they were also fast and were often the third team on the grid during the race, but in the end, they were overtaken by McLaren. The question is whether they can keep up this weekend.
Albon takes risks on the hard tire
Last week it was also thought that the pink Mercedes could threaten Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon. During the race, this was disproved and during second free practice, the RB16 looked fast again.
Those fast times were not only driven on a single lap on the red tyre, but also on the medium and hard compounds Verstappen and Albon were fastest. Maybe this weekend we will see an alternative strategy from Red Bull?
