Sainz: "This was bizarre, I talked to Max and Lewis, they had the same thing"
Carlos Sainz continues the good form of McLaren during the second weekend in Austria with a third place in qualifying. He follows the example of Lando Norris last weekend, who then finished third in the race.
He said: "I'm very happy to do so well two weekends in a row. I'm starting in third place for the first time in my career. That feels great, because this qualifying session was probably the hardest thing I had to do as an F1 driver".
"There was so much aquaplaning, it was really weird. I slipped all over the straights. It's something I love. I talked to Max and Lewis and they had the same thing. I'm really excited about it."
"It's gonna be a few tricky first laps tomorrow with Alex and Valtteri behind me. The car is better than we expected after Barcelona, but the racing speed I think the Ferrari's and Racing Points are better after all. I just don't know where they are now".
