Hamilton: "It's good to be back here with such performance"
Lewis Hamilton won the Styrian Grand Prix claiming the victory ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Max Verstappen. The six-time world champion was grateful to his team for the performance of his car on Sunday afternoon.
"It's good to be back here with such a performance. The team has done a great job with the strategy. I had to stay away from the kerbs and bring the car home," Hamilton said in a first reaction.
Getting the fastest lap of the race wasn't to be for Hamilton as the extra World Championship point went to Carlos Sainz.
"I tried, but it didn't work out. The tyres were too old in the end."
The 35-year-old driver is in good shape and is looking forward to the rest of the 2020 season. "I love this, I love back-to-back races. Let's do this all year long," the Mercedes driver concluded to Martin Brundle.
