Doornbos concerned by Mercedes advantage over Red Bull
Robert Doornbos has admitted his dissatisfaction with the poor performance of Red Bull Racing. The Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton were far too fast during the Styrian Grand Prix.
"When I look at today, I see that Mercedes just rolls up the whole field," Doornbos told Ziggo Sport.
"Max Verstappen rises above the car and even that's not enough to stop Mercedes. That's very worrying, if you ask me."
"Max's highlight of the match was the fight with Bottas, but that, too, was hopeless. Max had a very good start, but it was not indicative of the rest of the race. Red Bull needs to evaluate and come back stronger in Hungary," said Doornbos.
