Power Rankings: Verstappen up to second and low position for the World Cup leader
- GPblog.com
The Styrian GP is over, and that means that there are new Power Rankings following the GP! It may have been a less weekend than the first GP in Austria, but that doesn't stop us from looking at the opinions of various experts at formula1.com!
Not too surprisingly Lewis Hamilton is number 1 in the Power Rankings, with a score of 10. Followed by the Dutchman Max Verstappen. His 9.2 was mainly due to his sublime qualification. He also finished 11 seconds ahead of his team mate Alexander Albon in the race, who also had one less pit stop.
Bottas makes little impression
Striking in the list is the position of World Cup leader Valtteri Bottas. He shares a fifth place with Carlos Sainz. Bottas owes this position mainly to his poor qualifying compared to Hamilton, which actually made second the maximum possible for the Finn in the race.
