Perez anticipates arrival Vettel: 'Manager busy talking to other teams'
- GPblog.com
The fact that Sebastian Vettel will be available before 2021 has been the most intriguing news from the drivers' market since that announcement. The top teams closed the door one by one, leaving Racing Point (Aston Martin next year) as a more competitive opportunity and they seem to interested in the arrival of the German.
Red Bull Racing has spoken out several times in recent weeks against the return of Sebastian Vettel. They appreciate the four-time world champion and what they have achieved with him, but are now focusing on the future. When it was announced this week that Mercedes was extending Valtteri Bottas' contract, there was no top seat left for Vettel.
Perez to Haas or Alfa Romeo
Considering the current cooperation that Racing Point has with Mercedes, the pink brigade could be a good alternative. Moreover, the latest reports from Sergio Perez' camp would show that there is serious talk about this behind the scenes.
Because Lance Stroll isn't put aside by his father, Sergio Perez would have to make way. ESPN Mexico claims that Perez' manager (Julian Jacobi) is already taking this into account and therefore has been working hard in recent weeks to put the Mexican in another team. There have allegedly been talks with both Haas and Alfa Romeo.
