Horner expects progress in VT2 after test with new parts
- GPblog.com
It seems that VT1 didn't go as planned for Red Bull racing. The RB16 could not keep up with the speed of the Mercedes and even the Racing Point. Many are anxiously looking forward to the second free practice, afraid to see Red Bull far from the top again. However, even though the gap to Mercedes iis huge, team boss Christian Horner remains positive.
Horner made an important statement in an interview with Sky Sports after the first free practice: "In the afternoon we will revert to our normal setup".
Test parts
On the car of for example Max Verstappen there was this training special paint on the car. According to Horner, various parts were tested on the new Red Bull car. In the second free practice those parts will be removed and Horner hopes that Red Bull will be able to live up to the expected speed.
