Hamilton after dominant victory: "One of my favourite races to drive"
Lewis Hamilton has had a comfortable afternoon in Hungary. The six-time world champion managed to get away well at the start and wasn't bothered by the competition. In the process, he equals Michael Schumacher's record for most victories (8) at a single circuit.
"Honestly it was one of my favourite races to have raced. Whilst I was on my own, it was a different kind of challenge. Of course, we had great pace, and it could be without everyone back at the factory," Hamilton said ahead of the podium celebrations in Hungary.
"Round One had multiple different punches that I wasn't perhaps ready for but I refocused and the last two have been fantastic. This weekend, we've just been on point throughout so we need to try and keep this up."
After pursading his team, Hamilton decided to pit with three laps left. The pitstop went smoothly and he still finished around 6 seconds ahead of his closest rival Max Verstappen.
