Red Bull praises Verstappen: "Max put it out of his mind"
Christian Horner is very pleased with how Max Verstappen managed to get over his issue ahead of the race. The Sunday afternoon did not start as hoped for the Red Bull Racing driver with a big touch with the wall, but that didn't stop him from performing very well in the race.
"Max put it out of his mind," Horner told GPblog.com after the Grand Prix of Hungary. The team boss of the Milton Keynes-based racing stable states that Verstappen has driven a very good race. The Dutchman drove from seventh to third within the first couple of corners.
The 46-year-old Briton does not believe that there is a crisis at Red Bull. "Basically we have a good car. Last night I didn't think we would split the Mercedes. We were strategically strong in the race and the car was also good in the race," he continues at Sky Sports.
Red Bull is going to analyse heavily
However, there is work to be done because the weekend at the Hungaroring didn't go too smoothly. "We had brought some updates, but they did not behave as we hoped. There's a lot of good data from this weekend and the team are working hard to get on top of it," Horner concludes.
