Ocon remains positive after horror start: "It's still early in the season"
- GPblog.com
Esteban Ocon remains positive about the further course of the season, despite the bad weekend he and his team had in Hungary. The Frenchman of Renault finished in fourteenth place, far away from the points. Updates should help the team to achieve success at Silverstone.
Ocon is critical of the performance of himself and his team. "Hopefully, we're gonna work on that to come back stronger. That's clear. During the first pit stop I lost a lot of ground and seconds, and from that moment on, because the pace is so close to the cars, it's just hard to come back," he says in conversation with Motorsport.com.
Updates
"It's still early in the season, so we can still make up for a lot. I hope the updates will pay off. I don't know exactly what's going to happen. We know where we need to improve the car, so we're going to work hard on that." Ocon currently occupies the thirteenth place in the standings with four points. His teammate Daniel Ricciardo is in eleventh place.
