Last week in Hungary, McLaren and Ferrari hinted that they are about to sign the Concorde Agreement. However, Mercedes doesn't seem completely convinced yet and would rather not commit to the renewed agreement for five years. What is the status of the Red Bull Racing team in this?

The Austrian race team doesn't want to say much on this subject. "That's a confidential matter", Horner responds in conversation with GPblog. The team boss of Red Bull Racing then stresses once again that there is a duty of confidentiality and that commercial rights also play a role.

Agreement not very close yet

Therefore, little is currently known about what the Concorde Agreement looks like. During the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend the rumour came out that Ferrari will keep its loyalty bonus. Because the Italians have been participating in Formula 1 since 1950, they receive more money than other teams.

It remains to be seen how soon the new agreement can be signed. Ferrari reported that not only Mercedes is annoying, but that there are also a number of other teams that are not yet satisfied. Racing Point, for example, already indicated that some changes need to be made before they sign.
