Former Mercedes boss calls critics Racing Point 'unsporting'

Ferrari still has a long and very difficult season ahead of it. Not only have they lost speed compared to last year, the competition has even found a lot of speed. No one more than Racing Point, which, like Ferrari last year, is now accused of cheating.
Norbert Haug doesn't think that's right. In an interview with Sky Germany, the former motorsport boss of Mercedes praises the 'pink team' and notes that Ferrari simply doesn't have his affairs in order. "If Lewis Hamilton was driving that Ferrari now, he wouldn't be a winning driver."
Haug wants our FIA search to be transparent
"I don't think all those guys who now say it's just last year's Mercedes aren't very sporty. It's not last year's Mercedes, the FIA is going to find out. It is a smart project with a fraction of the budget of Ferrari, with all the parts of Mercedes that are allowed".
"Honor where honor is due, they just did it skillfully. The FIA will see this too, and I hope this time they'll announce it. Unlike the Ferrari case, when it wasn't known at all what went wrong", Haug concludes with a sneer towards both Ferrari and the FIA.
