Back to Turkey
On the website of the Turkish government there is a page in which they announce future projects, which includes another Formula 1 race. "The Presidential auspices of the Turkish Republic continues to work to organize an F1 race", can be found on the site.
Turkey was allowed to organize a Grand Prix at Istanbul Park from 2005 until 2011. A circuit that was a favourite with both drivers and fans. Especially the mega fast corner 8 is spectacular.
Winners of the Turkish GP
Felipe Massa won most of the races in Turkey. He managed to win three editions of the race between 2006 and 2008. The last winner in Turkey was Sebastian Vettel back in the day in his Red Bull.
