Windsor ranks Verstappen with Hamilton: ''That makes them special''

Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo and Lewis Hamilton are, according to Peter Windsor, the men to look forward to during the Grand Prix of Great Britain. In his latest video Windsor explains why this is the case.
The top of Formula 1
''A circuit like Silverstone rewards drivers like Lewis, Max, Daniel and on a good day also Charles Leclerc. It differs from lap to lap where you have to submit and brake at Silverstone and the best drivers distinguish themselves by not necessarily going for the geometric apex'', explains the former team manager of Williams.
According to Windsor it's not about the apex at Silverstone, it's about the feeling from lap to lap. ''Those drivers have a natural instinct where they have to turn in, where other drivers choose fixed points and recognizable places to brake and steer. That natural feeling makes drivers like Lewis and Max special'', Windsor praises.
Red Bull stays behind
Where Verstappen might be able to give another special performance at Silverstone, they don't expect that from his team anymore. Red Bull Racing is disappointed in 2020, after it had clearly expressed its desire to fight for the title. However, at the start of the season Mercedes appears to have disappeared on the horizon again.
''It's not even a difficult prediction that Red Bull will have a hard time, but that doesn't make it any less fun to watch those drivers. Just assume that Daniel, Max and Lewis will choose broader lines than other drivers and where others will lose time or even make mistakes, those three will not lose time", concludes Windsor.
