Is Verstappen leaving Red Bull Racing? ''He's gonna be looking around''
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen was hoping to fight for the world title this season, but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment. According to Martin Brundle that might cause the Dutchman to look for another team.
Does Red Bull Racing disappoint?
Prior to the 2020 Formula 1 season, Red Bull Racing blew high from the sky. It had to happen this year. Verstappen had to become the youngest world champion, but now that the season has started, Mercedes once again turns out to be too strong for the Austrian team. This could have major consequences, according to Sky Sports reporter Brundle.
''Normally Red Bull does come with a car that has everything in it in the end, but it has to coincide for a while. That seems to be the case again. If they can get the potential out of this car they can participate, but the question is whether they can take control of the car'', says the former Formula 1 driver to Motorsport.com.
Getting to Mercedes?
With thirty points behind in the championship, Verstappen is heading for the fourth race, but according to Brundle he will be irritated. ''I think he is very frustrated. Before the season they said a DNF was not an option and in race one you drop out. That's not what you want,'' says Brundle, who thinks Verstappen might look further.
''I think the frustration about the onboard radio will also increase. He'll be looking to see where he can win a championship. As long as Mercedes keeps winning, he'll find a way to get into that team," concludes Brundle.
