Max Verstappen didn't manage to win a race in the first three races of the Formula 1 season and instead of looking forward to the Mercedes, Verstappen has to look to the back. Racing Point seems to be getting closer and closer to Red Bull Racing.

''Over one lap they'll be very fast, but in the race I haven't seen that so far. So it hasn't bothered me yet, but we'll have to see if that will be the case on every circuit'', says Verstappen opposite Motorsport.com. The Dutchman doesn't see Racing Point as a better team yet.

Red Bull for Racing Point

"You have to be able to be constant in the race and I think we have an edge on that. You have to keep your tyres whole for a whole race and the strategy has to be right. We're still making a difference with that now,'' says Verstappen, who says copying the Mercedes for Red Bull itself is not an option.

''If you copy from another team, you're always behind and you can't go any faster. That's not what you want, at least not us. Racing Point will never beat Mercedes and that is our goal'', concludes Verstappen who sees Mercedes still at the top from a great distance.
