Ricciardo gets new chassis, no penalty for driver
- GPblog.com
Daniel Ricciardo will drive with a completely new chassis on Saturday. The Renault mechanics had to continue working at night to fit the new chassis into the Renault.
New chassis
Formula 1 and Renault themselves will let you know. "Due to a hairline fracture on the chassis in practice yesterday, Daniel will take a new chassis for the rest of the weekend. The team broke the curfew overnight but all is ready for practice today," the team said on Twitter.
The team received no penalty for this, as it is only the first time the team has worked after curfew. This can happen twice a season.
