For Christian Horner, the first Grand Prix at Silverstone went reasonably well. He saw one of his drivers go to the podium for second place, but he also had a driver who was fighting in the midfield. For the second Grand Prix at Silverstone, the expectations of the Red Bull Racing team boss are high and after the first free practice everything seems to go well.

"It was very hot," Horner explains in front of the Sky Sports camera. "It was good to collect data and we completed some aerodynamic tests at the beginning of the session The tyres are really important. It looks like the softest tyre is really only good for one lap. So we've learned a lot of things today."

Glad to be on the podium

The tyres were also a problem for many teams last weekend. Both cars of Mercedes had flat tyres, which made the win seem possible for Max Verstappen. Horner, however, looks back and indicates that a podium was the maximum possible. "The tyres of Verstappen also had a lot of cracks, so I was very happy to see him on the podium."

This weekend Horner is hoping for another podium for his team. "Mercedes is the clear goal and the favourite, we have to make sure we can attack them. Last weekend has shown that everything is possible. For us, last weekend was also a good result, if you look at performance. That's not only important for this year but also looking ahead to next year", said Horner.
