Hamilton satisfied with first day of week two at Silverstone
Lewis Hamilton has had another good day with Mercedes. In both free practice sessions the world champion managed to score a one-two and the Brit ends day one of week two at Silverstone in a good mood.
"In general it has been a good day for us," Hamilton is quoted by Motorsport.com.
"We understand the car quite well and we have passed the analysis of the data we collected last week".
Mercedes continue to look for improvement
Compared to last week's set-up Mercedes has experimented with some things. "We've made some adjustments so we can get those few hundredths of a second out. Especially over one lap on the soft tyres there is still something to be gained. But it went well.
"We only made small changes. We didn't bring any updates, but we need to try to optimise in different areas and today we started to do that," said the British rider.
