No Hulkenberg in Barcelona? "99 percent sure Perez will have recovered by then"

The chance that Nico Hulkenberg will also drive for Racing Point in Spain seems very small. Sergio Perez tested positive for the coronavirus last week, but the team boss at Racing Point expects the Mexican to be able to race again in Barcelona next week.
"Checo's quarantine period is over. He's been tested and it seems that the amount of the virus has already decreased since his first positive test. He is tested regularly and I expect him to be tested negative today or early next week," Szafnauer explains to RaceFans.net.
Hulkenberg as a reserve
"So I expect he recovered in time to drive back to Barcelona. Of course, it's a prediction so I can't say with complete certainty, but if you look at how he recovered, it looks like he's just fit for Barcelona again". If Perez isn't allowed to go to Barcelona anyway, because of his quarantine period or because he still tests positive, Szafnauer will have another alternative.
Nico Hülkenberg has already driven the two Grands Prix at Silverstone and is performing extremely well for the team. "If he can't get in the car, the choice goes to Nico. But I already thought that Nico would be 99 percent sure to drive both races at Silverstone and I am now 99 percent sure that Checo will drive in Spain", Szafnauer concludes.
