Bottas not happy with his team: ''When Verstappen came by I didn't know anything''
Valtteri Bottas started from pole and after the first lap, there didn't seem to be a problem. However, the Finn had an angry face in front of the camera at the end of the race because of his third place at the second Silverstone Grand Prix.
''The win would have been possible today. The speed was there, but enough went wrong. When Max Verstappen passed me, I didn't know anything. If I had known that for a couple of laps, I could at least have pushed. The last stint was too long. I would have wanted to wait as long as Lewis,'' said a critical Bottas.
Bottas angry at Mercedes
The Finn tells Sky Sports that a lot will be analyzed.
"At the end of the race, I just didn't understand what had happened. We need to talk about this because it's just disappointing. Besides, Max was just really good today, because he didn't have any blisters on the tyre.
"We had those problems and the team will have to work towards next week, when the teams prepare for the Spanish Grand Prix. We had a lot of problems with those tyres, so we have to learn from that. We've taken a lot of points and now we just have to move on,'' concludes Bottas.
