Horner keeps faith in Albon: "We have seen great overtaking actions again"
Alexander Albon is under pressure at Red Bull Racing. The Thai came through to Q3 this time, but had to do a lot of catching up in the race to finish fifth. The gap to teammate Max Verstappen is therefore still large.
After was eliminated in Q2 in recent races, it may have been a relief for Albon to get through it on Saturday. On Sunday, however, he still had to do a lot of catching up, because with a ninth place he still had a lot of cars in front of him that were slower. So Alex has still not had a quiet weekend.
Is Albon from the valley?
"Alex just doesn't have a quiet Saturday at the moment." His Sundays are great. He did some overtaking today that was impressive. He passed outside Copse several times because we were not fast enough on the straight to overtake. He has also driven a good Grand Prix," said Christian Horner in an online press conference from Red Bull Racing.
"The moment the car becomes a bit more manoeuvrable on Saturday and Alex starts qualifying a bit better, the racing also becomes easier. Just think what Alex could have achieved with today's pace if he had started from fourth or fifth place. I have no doubts that that speed will come," Horner concludes confidently.
