Albon: "That gives everyone, including Max and myself, a boost"

Alexander Albon knows that things are better with the RB16 than a few weeks ago. The Red Bull Racing driver sees the victory of team mate Max Verstappen at Silverstone as a nice boost and with that good feeling the Austrian race team is heading to Spain this week.
"I’m happy, mainly because I think we made a step forward as a Team last weekend", Albon said in a brief preview of Red Bull at the Spanish Grand Prix. "But also because I’m a bit more comfortable with the car. As a team we had the best pace on the circuit and so that gives everyone, including Max and myself, a boost."
Albon and Red Bull continue to push
There is still a gap to Mercedes and the British Thai also warns that the lead of the German world champion really didn't disappear just like that. "Of course we still need to do our work and that doesn’t all happen overnight but we’ll keep pushing and try to extract more from our package to get me more comfortable with the car."
There will be a race on the circuit of Barcelona this weekend. Earlier in 2020 the winter tests were organised there and so the track is fairly well known to all teams. Albon doesn't expect any surprises. "Yes it is but I don’t think we’re going to see any real surprises. From the races we’ve done this season we more or less know where everyone stands. As a team we know where we are strong and where we can improve", Albon ends.
