Sebastian Vettel is going through a difficult phase right now. The Ferrari driver even received a new chassis this weekend after some disappointing performances in 2020. However, Helmut Marko is convinced that Vettel can recover and that the critical media will contribute.

"In Formula 1 only the last race counts in people's perception," says Marko in conversation with Auto Bild. According to the Red Bull Racing advisor, Nico Hulkenberg is a good example. "You can see that in the convincing performance of Nico Hülkenberg in his comeback."

Where Vettel is thirteenth in the world championship with ten points, Charles Leclerc finds himself in fourth place with 35 points more. The last Grands Prix didn't go as the four-time world champion had hoped. The criticism on Vettel's performance only increased.

Vettel gets advice from Marko

That's not what he can use, because a seat for 2021 is still not certain. Marko has some advice for his former protégé: "He must now drive good races again and then the public mood will change again. He must then decide what he wants in 2021: To continue or to stop. I don't think the last word has been spoken yet."
