Binotto denies Vettel sabotage: "Atmosphere is positive"

Much has been said in recent weeks about the situation of Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari. The German clearly does not have the speed and especially the German media claim that Ferrari is deliberately taking care of this in order to justify their preference for Charles Leclerc. Binotto doesn't want to know anything about that accusation.
"My answer is very simple: That's completely wrong," he says to Bild am Sonntag when asked about that accusation. "First, because we need Sebastian and his talent. We need him for our success. To get more points in the world championship for constructors, we need two successful drivers".
Binotto still gets along well with Vettel
Binotto calls Vettel's form dip 'difficult to understand'. "I don't think there's a direct explanation for it. If there was, we'd have done something about it." The whole situation surrounding his contract and the lesser situations did not affect the relationship between Vettel and the team according to Binotto.
"Sebastian had and has the full support of Ferrari. I understand that now in Germany much has been written about alleged tensions between him and us, but this is all total nonsense. Although everyone knows that this is his last season, he behaves completely decent. The atmosphere here is positive, despite the difficult situation".
