Bottas wants to know where it went wrong with his start. "We're gonna analyse"
At the start of the Spanish Grand Prix Valtteri Bottas didn't get away well. This cost the Finn valuable places, which he didn't manage to regain during the race.
Already after two turns Bottas had lost several places to Max Verstappen and the Racing Points. Not a good start to his Grand Prix. "We certainly didn't have a good start. The wind wasn't great, but the start just wasn't good. I had the outer line before turn one and lost a couple of places there."
"After that, it's gonna be very tricky on this job. I did everything I could to maximize every stint, but I couldn't really beat anyone. Max was already too far away for me," says the Mercedes driver to Sky Sports F1.
Finding problems with data
The Finn now has the task of finding out exactly what went wrong at the start. "I'm going to do everything I can to understand what happened at the start. We're going to analyse the data, watch videos of the start and things like that. So we're going to find out for sure where the problem was," concludes Bottas.
