Mclaren is the first team to sign the 'Concorde Agreement'! Earlier there was already negative speculation about the agreement. But Mclaren does not agree, and supports the agreement.
The 'Concorde Agreement' is an agreement that should bring Formula 1 teams closer together. The biggest change is the introduction of a budget ceiling, so that smaller teams can also be better aligned with the top of the field. The large teams logically disagree less with this, especially the supreme Mercedes. In spite of that Mercedes said it wanted to support the treaty, and Mclaren now breaks the ice by being the first Formula 1 team to officially support the treaty.
McLaren Racing confirms that it has become a signatory to the new Concorde agreement that will govern the sport through 2025, in doing so reaffirming the team’s long-term commitment to Formula 1. ðŸ¤Â
