Formula 1 is going to Mugello this year for the first time for a Grand Prix and there the drivers will have a tough task. According to Allard Kalff the drivers should be prepared for a super fast circuit.
The coronavirus completely disrupted the Formula 1 season. Events in Azerbaijan, Australia and China, among others, could not take place and the newly created F1 calendar consists mainly of European races. There were also new circuits, including the Mugello circuit in Italy.
Drivers afraid of Mugello?
This means that there are three circuits on the calendar that will be held in Italy, including the return of Imola. However, the race at Mugello will be a tough one for the drivers. ''It is very fast there and what we are going to see there is a difference between the old/experienced drivers and the youth with Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon'', says Allard Kalff at the podcast F1 aan Tafel.
According to the F1 analyst, this will result in big differences. ''It's going very fast there and that's going to be dangerous. Drivers will also complain that it is too dangerous. I think it's a bit dangerous to have so many fast corners, but of course that makes it fun again'', concludes Kalff.
