Ferrari more than a second slower than last year; Red Bull big step forward

During the second free practice, Ferrari could only manage fifteenth and seventeenth place. Although we still have to wait for qualifying and racing, the drivers are not too optimistic about their chances. It's in stark contrast to 2019, when Ferrari and Charles Leclerc won the Belgian Grand Prix.
It was already clear from the results of the first and second free practice sessions that things were going badly for Ferrari this weekend, but that wasn't enough for Motorsport-Total. The following graph is a painful illustration of the time Ferrari lost compared to their own car last year.

Ferrari were more than a second slower than last year's second free practice. Compare that to Mercedes and Red Bull Racing, who on average gained more than a second.
