Lewis Hamilton does not consider himself unbeatable, but that it is very difficult to beat the 35-year-old driver in 2020 is certain. The Mercedes driver had hoped for more battles during the Belgian Grand Prix, but thanks to his dominance he again ended up easily ahead of Valtteri Bottas and MAx Verstappen.
"A little bit, I didn't see anyone", says Hamilton when Jack Plooij asks him at Ziggo Sport if it wasn't a bit lonely at Spa-Francorchamps. "It wasn't great today, relatively boring even.
The six-time world champion loves Spa-Francorchamps. "It's a fantastic track, I had hoped that we could race more," says the Brit, who notices to himself that he's driving at the top of his game at the moment. "But I don't think anyone is unbeatable, but I do feel that I am performing at the highest level. I try to work hard."
Hamilton happy to beat Bottas
Hamilton is very pleased with the fact that he has once again managed to outdo Bottas. "To be half a second ahead yesterday is not easy. To then stay ahead of the man in the same car in the race today is great, but it takes a lot of work."
