Ocon: "Hubert would have loved to see Renault perform like this"

For Renault, the Grand Prix weekend in Spa went extremely well. With a fourth, fifth and the fastest lap, the team head to Monza with 23 points, where the Italian Grand Prix is waiting for them. The French team has high expectations after the Belgian Grand Prix.
"It has been a very strong weekend for everyone," Esteban Ocon explains to Sky Sports. “We have gone through a tremendous development and we are very happy with that. We have a job with the same characteristics next week so we are going to try to match or maybe even improve this result."
Thinking about Hubert
Ocon is looking forward to the next race, also because of the many changes Renault has made to be better on the fast circuits. "We certainly feel like going to Monza. There are a lot of thoughts going around within the team now on how best to save the tyres and it looks like the outcome so far is working."
Last weekend was also tough for Ocon, a year after the death of his compatriot and friend Anthoine Hubert.
"Coming here is hard of course, I always think of Anthoine. He probably would have loved to have seen Renault perform so well," Ocon concludes.
