Hakkinen: "Red Bull must ensure that Albon can support Verstappen"

Lewis Hamilton shone again in Belgium. Max Verstappen could do little about it and this time he was unable to catch Valtteri Bottas. According to Mika Hakkinen, it would really help Verstappen if Red Bull could arrange for a more competitive teammate.
Verstappen only possible Danger
The fact that Alexander Albon is not competitive enough is not down to the shape of the Thai-Brit. Also the material his team provides him with makes it hard for Albon to show his best work. The excellent performance of Verstappen almost every weekend makes it even more difficult.
Mika Hakkinen analyses Red Bull's work in their attempt to overtake Mercedes on Unibet.com: "Looking ahead to Monza this weekend, I expect Lewis and Valtteri to give their all at the front of the field. Max in his Red Bull may be the only major danger".
Red Bull needs strong second violin
"Lewis said it already on sunday," Hakkinen continued. "Red Bull must find a way to help Albon so that he is able to support Max. This will mainly help the team to work with different strategies during the race".
"They really need two competitive cars to increase the pressure at Mercedes," concludes the former F1 driver. Indeed, in addition to being a dominant car, Mercedes currently also has the advantage of being able to press Verstappen on the track in certain situations with regard to pit stops.
