Alonso already visited Renault before: ''At work in Imola and Abu Dhabi''

Fernando Alonso has the Indy 500 on it and can now focus on a return to Formula 1. However, where he was going to charge the batteries, he is now hinting that we might see him at Imola in 2020.
In 2021, Alonso returns to Formula 1 after two years of absence. After his last season at McLaren in 2019, Alonso turns his back on the sport to work in several other classes. He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and participated in the Dakar Rally and the Indy 500. In 2021, however, he returns to his old love, Renault.
Alonso has been to Renault before
''In the second half of this year I want to recharge my batteries before I return to F1. That will be a huge task, but maybe I'll come to a couple of races to see how the team is doing'', Alonso said earlier. On Instagram the Spaniard now lets us know that we can expect him early.
''I will probably be working for Renault in Imola and Abu Dhabi. I will also work in the simulator'', said the Spaniard. The question is whether he will also be in action during a free practice session. Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo will be reluctant to give up their seats and Alonso said earlier that he doesn't have to test himself.
