McLaren got off to a good start in 2020. The team is third in the Constructors' Championship, leaving Racing Point and Ferrari behind. However, Andreas Seidl is not sure that this will still be the case by the end of the season.

The tide can turn quickly in Formula 1. A few years ago McLaren were struggling in the midfield with the Honda engine and in the first year with the Renault engine the results were still disappointing. Since the arrival of Andreas Seidl and James Key ,however, the road up has been paved and the team is now third place in the championship.

McLaren not the third team?

''We still can't say that we really are the third team, because in my opinion that is still Racing Point. Behind that it is very exciting between Ferrari, Renault and ourselves. So it's about getting the most out of your package every weekend and that will determine where we end up in the standings," said Seidl according to Motorsport.com.

In Belgium, Renault were the best team, and McLaren expects that for Monza again. ''I don't think we will be far from Renault, but they are very strong. However, we can only look at ourselves. We have a car with which we can fight and it depends a bit on the track how high we finish."
