Renault to change their name to Alpine!
- GPblog.com
It was already on its way, but from next year Renault will no longer be part of the F1 field in name. From 2021 onwards, the Renault F1 Team will go through as the AlpineF1 Team, while emphasising the fact that they do use Renault engines.
We are proud to announce that #AlpineF1Team enters #Formula1 ! Starting from the 2021 season, Groupe Renault’s team becomes Alpine F1® Team, equipped with a Renault E-TECH hybrid engine

The full team announcement is in fact Alpine F1 Team equipped with a Renault E-TECH hybrid engine. The name Renault does not disappear completely, but you can see it from the image of the rear wing.
Blue livery supplemented with red?
Of course, that's not the biggest change at first sight. Yellow, Renault's traditional racing colour, has to make way for blue, which in turn is Alpine's traditional colour. The image also shows some red, but it is unlikely that this is exactly the same livery that Alpine will be driving next year.
“We are bringing a dream brand alongside the biggest names, for spectacular car races made and followed by enthusiasts. #Alpine will also bring its values to the #F1 paddock: elegance, ingenuity, and audacity", says Luca De Meo, CEO of Groupe Renault.
