Horner anticipates decision: "No point in exchanging Albon and Gasly"

Although the final choice will only be made at the end of October or the beginning of November, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is already anticipating that decision. He does not think there is any point in switching Alexander Albon and Pierre Gasly again next season.
Pierre Gasly's profits have fuelled the rumours of a possible return of Gasly to Red Bull. The Frenchman himself felt that he should be "rewarded" for his victory at Monza. In an interview with Autosport, however, Horner states that he does not have to count on this. AlphaTauri is doing great with him. "It is good to see that he is doing well".
For the spot next to Verstappen, however, the preference is still for Albon. "We want to try and give him the best chance to keep that seat. It wouldn't make sense to put the drivers back. AlphaTauri is now a sister team instead of a junior team. Franz is happy, I believe, with Pierre. The final decision will be taken later this year, but there is no push on our part to reverse the situation," said Red Bull's team boss.
