Valtteri Bottas and Alexander Albon were both on the podium of the Tuscan Grand Prix. However, one stood there happier than the other. Robert Doornbos discusses what went wrong for Bottas and what made the race a success for Albon.

It was not Bottas' weekend. The Mercedes driver was on top of Lewis Hamilton all weekend, but was unable to finish his second run in qualifying due to an Esteban Ocon spin. At the start Bottas launched into first place, but had to give up that place again at the restart.

What could Verstappen do?

''The restart on the grid was disastrous for Bottas. He lost the momentum there, even though it was already behind the Safety Car. At that start he just lost it'', says Doorbos in his column. The former Formula 1 driver is also happy for Albon, but is also disappointed with the missed opportunity for Max Verstappen.

''At Albon you just see that the Red Bull comes into its own on empty tanks and the red tyre. Albon overtook Daniel Ricciardo outside, who is known for braking late. I wholeheartedly endorse Albon, but you do wonder what Verstappen could have done with that car'', concludes the Ziggo Sport analyst.
