Zhou on his way to Formula 1 after yet another two-day test for Renault?

Guanyu Zhou has completed his two-day test for Renault. He is still hoping for a place in Formula 1 and has come closer after a two-day test in Renault's R.S. 18.

Renault have already completed their 2021 lineup with Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, but with its own youth training, Renault have already expressed the need to bring talent to F1.
Zhou seemed to be the biggest contender after a strong Rookie season in Formula 2, but things are not going well in 2020. While Mick Schumacher and teammate Callum Ilott are fighting for the world title, Zhou is also in eighth place after many races with bad luck. He has to put up with Rookie and fellow Renault junior, Christian Lundgaard.

Zhou is still completely fresh
After tests on the Red Bull Ring, in Budapest, Barcelona, Paul Ricard and Jerez, he was allowed to test again for Renault at the Hungaroring. There Zhou drove in the R.S. 18 from 2018, so there were no restrictions on the number of kilometres. Over two days he covered a distance of 970km.
''My neck still feels very fresh, so that's nice. I like fast cars and it's good to be back,'' Zhou said on his Twitter channel. It remains to be seen whether this test will bring Zhou closer to a seat. Renault have no customer teams where it can park the juniors and it has two drivers under contract until at least 2021.
