New commercial director Racing Point

Lawrence Stroll reinforces his team once again in the run-up to the change from Racing Point to Aston Martin. Slack has more than thirty years of experience in the sports world. In the 1990s, he was responsible for Michael Jordan's advertising activities and then worked for four years as CEO of Italian football club FC Internazionale Milano.

Commenting on Slack's entry to Motorsport.com, Stroll said: "With the progress we have made on the track this season and our relaunch as the Aston Martin F1 Team, we have a unique opportunity to create a new iconic sporting power in Formula 1.

"We are pleased to appoint Jefferson Slack to help us achieve our global commercial potential."

Racing Point commercial opportunity in the sports industry

Slack, in turn, also welcomes his assigned role within the ambitious team: "It is one of the most exciting commercial opportunities, not just in F1, but in the entire sports industry.

Slack's work will be concerned exclusively with PR and financial matters. We don't need to count on his influence on performance on the track. "I look forward to working with Lawrence and Otmar [Szafnauer, ed.] to build a world-class commercial and marketing team."
