'Raikkonen renews contract with Alfa Romeo, Schumacher makes debut in Germany'

It is starting to look more and more like we will be able to admire Kimi Raikkonen in Formula 1 next season as well. Reportedly, the 40-year-old driver has chosen to extend his stay at Alfa Romeo Racing by one season.
That is reported by Blick. According to the Swiss media outlet, Raikkonen made a decision before 15 September. The Finn has decided to stick with it for another season, as he still enjoys driving at the pinnacle of motorsport.
This news would mean that there is only one other spot left to be filled for 2021. At the moment, Antonio Giovinazzi is competing for Frederic Vasseur's team, but the Italian does not seem to be able to count on a contract extension. Candidates for the seat next to Raikkonen would be Mick Schumacher, Callum Ilott, Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg and Robert Shwartzman.

The aforementioned media outlet also knows that Mick Schumacher will be making his appearance at the Nürburgring for ninety minutes in the C39 on 9 October. For the son of seven-time world champion Michael, that would be his official debut in an F1 car.
