Windsor enthusiastic about Verstappen: "He looks like Schumacher there"

Max Verstappen managed to get the most out of his car in Sochi, which puts him in a surprising second place for the Russian Grand Prix. In the end the Dutchman drove faster than Valtteri Bottas, who now has to start from third place behind his team mate Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen himself can count on many compliments after his strong lap in Q3.
Peter Windsor also enjoyed watching Verstappen. "It started already in Q2, where he qualified with the medium. It became a bit exciting, because his time was not very fast, but in the end he managed to make the plan succeed. So in Q3 he was able to ride on the softest tyre with more peace of mind. In the first run you could clearly see how Verstappen thinks," Windsor explains on his Youtube channel.
Verstappen resembles Schumacher
"He was asked if things needed to be changed, and he said they didn't need to be changed. He knew he could still gain some time on the track, so he started to focus on the things he knew himself. In that, Verstappen looks a lot like Michael Schumacher," Windsor adds.
The lap that Verstappen finally managed to drive was enough for second place on the grid. This allows him to start from the front row. "In the end he drove a fantastic lap and with that he was able to beat Bottas. It's a reward for Red Bull and Honda, who have been very strong in Russia all weekend," Windsor concludes.
