The upcoming Grand Prix weekend at the Nürburgring is already special. Not only because of the return of this legendary circuit but also because of the return of a legendary name. Mick Schumacher is going to drive his first laps here during a GP weekend.
Michael Schumacher's son had a difficult start in Formula 2 last year, but is doing much better this season. With two races to go, he leads the championship and with that he has already earned an F1 seat. At least that's what his uncle Ralf thinks.
Praise from Ralf
"Mick is on a very good road to Formula 1. I have always said that it is important to always be in the top three. Now he has also won, is always one of the fastest and leads the championship," wrote Ralf Schumacher in his column for Sky Sport Germany.
"His learning curve over the past year is very promising. He certainly has what it takes to drive in F1 in the coming year. He has shown performance over several years and classes and proved to be one of the best. So I can't imagine he won't be driving Formula 1 next year."
