Hamilton impressed by Portimao circuit!

Lewis Hamilton was impressed with Portimao after Friday. According to the Mercedes driver, the track is very difficult and challenging. Despite the fun track, Hamilton was not satisfied with his car on Friday, as teammate Valtteri Bottas beat him in both practice sessions.
Major challenge
"It is a difficult circuit. The undulations are incredible. There’s a lot of places you just can’t see where you’re going. The exit of turn eight you’re looking at the sky for a period of time and you have no idea what’s beyond the hill," says Hamilton according to RaceFans.net.
What makes the track extra challenging is that the asphalt is very slippery according to Hamilton. "You see a lot of people making mistakes and sliding and spinning so it’s not been an easy day. Also because it’s really difficult to get the tyres in the window for the first lap here, even with the soft."
Step back after FP2
Hamilton adds that he felt more comfortable in the first session than the second: "We made some changes after this morning and it felt pretty terrible in second practice. So I need to take a few steps back, figure out where I went wrong with the session and where I can improve for tomorrow," the reigning world champion concludes.
