Bernie Ecclestone does not understand why there are still people who don't take the coronavirus seriously. The former Formula 1 owner has retired to his house in Switzerland.
Ecclestone, the owner of Formula 1 for many years until it was taken over by Liberty Media in 2017, turned 90 this week.
Switzerland offers security
The coronavirus and all its consequences do have a negative impact on his life, he admitted to Formel1.de . He has retreated to Switzerland with his wife Fabiana and son Ace. "I don't understand why there are still people who don't wear a mouth shield. This damn virus is dangerous. That's why I'm glad I can go to Switzerland with my family, that country offers a lot of security."
On his own health he added: "Sometimes my back hurts, then the physiotherapist comes by. Fabiana is responsible for the other things. At my age you can't do stupid things anymore. All you can do is pay taxes and die."
