And fairly bizarre end of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix means that we did not see the usual three on the podium. Max Verstappen was missing in Imola after he crashed out meaning Daniel Ricciardo managed to get his second podium in 2020 for Renault.

Lewis Hamilton got the victory thrown his way when Esteban Ocon provided a virtual safety car after retiring. The Briton still had to make a pit stop and was able to do so during the virtual safety car so he didn't lose a lot of time and could stay in the lead. Bottas and Verstappen seemed to take the other two podium finishes until the Dutchman dropped out with a blowout.

This suddenly put Ricciardo in third place, which he still had to defend against an unleashed Daniil Kvyat, who achieved his best result of the season with fourth place. Alfa Romeo is doing good business and scored points with two cars, while Nicholas Latifi finishes in an unfortunate eleventh place for the third time this season. Red Bull Racing did not pick up any points due to a late spin by Alexander Albon.
