Marko: "It was a race incident"

Helmut Marko reacted to the failure of Max Verstappen. The Red Bull Racing advisor was disappointed that a blowout made it impossible for the Dutchman to cash in on his second place in the Grand Prix at the Imola circuit. Valtteri Bottas thus lost almost twenty points in the battle for P2 in the World Cup.
"Yes, it was not all right," says Marko in conversation with Sky Sport. With two failures and only one point finish of Daniil Kvyat the number of WC points was rather meager. During the interview with the German medium, the man from Graz congratulates the passing Kvyat.
Concerning Verstappen and Gasly, Marko said Sunday afternoon. "There seems to have been a part on the track. The Emilia GP could therefore be summarized very briefly. "It was not a good day."
Marko doesn't blame anyone
Alexander Albon came no further than fifteenth. It was a remarkable incident and it does not seem to have done Albon's chances for the 2021 seat next to Verstappen any good. Yet Marko defends the British Thai. "It was a race incident."
